Vision Statement
Our vision of a St. Ferdinand student is someone who exhibits self-esteem, understands and lives Christian values and sets realistic goals. The students will respect themselves and others. In order to realize their potential, our graduates will strive for knowledge and skills through the use and development of critical thinking and decision-making. Students will value learning as an ongoing life experience and will take responsibility for others using their talents to address concerns in the community.
Philosophy
We at St. Ferdinand believe in a Catholic education that promotes the spiritual, moral, social, and academic growth of each child. We recognize parents as the primary educators of children and as Christian role models; we will work together with them in teaching their children.
Our Christian mission is to enable our students to live out their faith by developing in them an understanding of Christ's teachings and a sincere respect for themselves and for others in our multicultural society. Our educational focus is to combine our knowledge and experience to instruct our students in sound academic skills and to prepare them to continue in a lifetime of ongoing education.
It is our position that children learn best when they are full participants in the learning process, not just spectators. We encourage them to work together in-groups and to be independent thinkers. We challenge them with critical decision-making, and we expect them to be responsible for the choices they make. We recognize the need to adapt to an ever‑changing world, we constantly update strategies, technology, and curricula to offer our students the tools that will help them realize their potential.
